We are excited to share that our Associate Director and Co-Head of the Intellectual Property and TMT Practice Group, Basil Lee, attended the 2026 ASEAN IPA Annual General Meeting & Conference in Phuket. This experience has provided him with invaluable insights and knowledge, especially on AI and its impact on intellectual property law and practice, that will significantly enhance our strategies and initiatives moving forward.
During the conference, Basil engaged in meaningful discussions with industry leaders and friends, forging and strengthening connections and exchanging ideas with peers across jurisdictions. Basil specialises in intellectual property, technology, media, and telecommunications. He advises clients on IP strategy and regulatory compliance, including data protection and cybersecurity, while representing clients in significant IP and commercial disputes in the Singapore courts. His landmark cases include Cicada Cube Pte Ltd v National University Hospital, Tiger Picture Entertainment Ltd v Encore Films, and Allianz Capital Partners GmbH v Goh Andress. He also played a key role in the KAWS: HOLIDAY art exhibition’s successful injunction discharge.
