Raj heads our Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group, where he advises on corporate and commercial matters, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, investments, fundraising and employment.

His mergers and acquisitions practice covers the full life cycle of a transaction, from deal structuring and due diligence through to closing, and he regularly advises on cross-border acquisitions and divestments, joint ventures and corporate restructurings, and equity and debt fundraisings. His deal experience has seen him act on both domestic and cross border transactions valued, in aggregate, in excess of US$500m.  Raj’s wider practice also covers corporate governance and general commercial matters, most recently acting as Singapore counsel on Victory Giant Technology’s US$2.6 billion listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Experience / Representative Matters

Mergers & Acquisitions

Acting for and advising a Singapore government-linked energy and utilities subsidiary in its joint-venture with a global oil supermajor for the provision of LNG bunkering services and other value-added services along the LNG bunkering chain.

Acting for and advising a Hong Kong based multi-asset investment management firm in its Singapore based joint-venture with a global ship-management company, for the establishment of a scalable investment platform for deployment into select marine vessel assets supported by long-term offtake contracts.

Acted as Singapore counsel and advised on Singapore law matters for Victory Giant Technology’s US$2.6b listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. 

Acting for and advising the shareholders of The GOVT Pte Ltd, one of Singapore’s leading independent advertising agencies, to the VCCP Group, a UK based, private-equity backed communications and media group. 

Acting for and advising the shareholders of a Singapore incorporated hospitality company, with substantial operating assets in Bali, including a luxury resort and a beach club, on the sale of their shares to a UAE based investment fund, in a deal valued at approximately US$50m.
