Helmsman announces promotions across its disputes and shipping practices
Helmsman LLC announces the promotion of lawyers across its offices. These promotions take effect from 1 January 2026.

The full list of promotions is as follows:
Arjun Mital – Associate Director
Arjun is an expert in shipping and commodities disputes, with particular experience advising on charterparties, bills of lading, cargo claims as well as ship sale and purchase disputes,
and represents clients in international arbitration and court proceedings with strong commercial insight.
Iris Ng – Counsel
Iris specialises in shipping and commodities disputes. She has represented clients before the Singapore courts and in international arbitration, including in charterparty, bill of lading, and commodity contract disputes and limitation of liability proceedings.
Asher Chin – Counsel
Asher is a dispute resolution specialist focused on high‑stakes international commercial litigation and arbitration, investigations and cross-border asset recovery, representing clients across sectors including technology, financial services, construction and energy in court and arbitration proceedings.
Chloe Chan – Senior Associate
Chloe specialises in shipping and commodities disputes with extensive experience in charterparty, bill of lading and commodity trading disputes, representing clients in Singapore and London arbitrations.
Tiffany Handjaja – Senior Associate
Tiffany specialises in shipping and commodity disputes, including charterparty, misdelivery, and and cargo claims, as well as commodity contract disputes, and regularly acts for clients before the Singapore courts and in arbitrations administered by SIAC and SCMA.
Irvin Ho – Senior Associate
Irvin is a commercial disputes lawyer specialising in complex, cross‑border litigation and international arbitration for multinational companies, with broad experience encompassing insolvency, employment and general commercial disputes.
